Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actor best known for playing House in Fox's Medical drama House. After turning 18 in the year she moved to New York City from Wayne where she was raised according to traditional Jewish customs. The school soon became a fixture in the New York club scene and began making headlines. The press also was impressed by her. In the end, she teamed her fame and talent with her writing skills and composition abilities in the production of a play titled Positive Me. Soon after she was recruited by MTV to host Awake on the Wild Side. She began to appear in television and film productions following the end of the series. At first, she appeared in small roles.
